This record was written in in-between states. I don't know anything that inspired these songs other than pure emotion that was needing to come out. I hadn't written songs on an electric guitar in 4 years before these - I recorded all the instrumentals in a week with nothing in mind before. Cover shot of an alligator at Oakland Zoo during a great day with my daughters - the beast was pressed right against the glass.
